Northern Maritime Museum: It is to be noted that the inauguration of this museum took place in the year 1932 on the 31st of May and a visit to this museum should be the top most priority of the visitors for the sole reason that this museum stores a wide collection of objects that have strong links to the history of Groningen as far as shipbuilding industry as well as shipping is concerned. It is nestled at one of the most magnificent buildings of Groningen. However the collections of the museum grew to a great extent over the last years.
Groningen Museum – Is the most beautiful museum of Netherlands for its design that would just arrest your attention. It was opened for the common mass in the year 1994 and includes three pavilions. It displays a wide range of international, national as well as local works. It is adorned with the works of the Repin (well known Russian painter), Erwin Olaf (Dutch photographer), Andres Serrano (Dutch photographer), to name a few.
